I am with the pleasure to commemorate the 100th Anniversory of Sangarathana M.V.in 2008. I am quite happy to be the Principal of this School in this outstanding landmark of the history of the school. I would like to convey my gratitude to all the principals who led this School to the present situation. Today we are a leading school in the Giriulla Education Zone to fulfil the thirsty of the needy school childrens in the Visinity. Today we are ready to cater the necessity of the school Community to their fullest satisfaction. As a gift for completing the century of her Life. We were donated a Fully furnished Computer Learning Center which was a long felt need... Thank You....
Welpalla Sri Sangarathana Maha Vidyalaya Was Founded By Ven.Sri Sangarathana Thero In 1908. This School Was first established as a buddhist school. The one and only teacher was Mr.Salamon Dias. Number Of studentes were 10 or 12. In 1908 the school was established in a permanent land which was donated by Aurvedic docter K.M Appuhamy. The number of students was 125 by that time. In 1912 the school was registered as a Goverment. Under the manegement of Ven.Bibile Gunananda Thero.
